Startups, growth-stage companies, and small to mid-sized businesses often hire fractional marketers when they need senior-level expertise but don’t yet have the budget or workload for a full-time CMO or marketing department. How long to long to consulting projects typically span?

Depending on the strategic project, it might make more sense to consider a fractional marketer to come on for a period of time.

Will the consultant also execute the marketing plan?

Difference between marketing agency and consultancy?

Answer:

A consultant is typically an individual (or small team) brought in for focused strategy or advisory work, while a marketing agency usually provides a full suite of creative and execution services.
